Finding Your Ring Size
Ok, you’re not a jeweller with access to ring sizing tools so how do you find your size at home?
There are a couple of ways I would recommend:
- wrap a strip of paper around your finger and mark where the ends meet, measure the paper from its edge to the mark you made and that’s the circumference of your finger. Cotton or string will not give a reliable result as they’re too thin and a measuring tape is just as unreliable as it’s too wide.
- place one of your well-fitting rings on a ruler and measure inside the ring as its widest point to get its diameter.
- there are several videos on Youtube that demonstrate both methods.
Alternatively you can visit a jewellery shop and ask to be measured which is the most reliable method.
Let me know the result of your measuring and I can use that to achieve your size. Something to bear in mind is that a ring with a wider band needs to be larger than a ring with a narrow band for a comfortable fit.
