This gorgeous pendant is sure to be noticed. It is as much a one-of-a-kind as you. I used cuttlefish bones gathered from my local beach to create this sterling silver pendant with a stunning rough sapphire at its heart, click here to read more about cuttlebone casting. The molten silver was poured into the mould I had carved into the cuttlebone and it enveloped the sapphire resulting in a secure setting that looks stunning with the light passing through it. It is absolutely unique.

The stone is a parti sapphire or a polychrome sapphire, so named as each one has more than one colour. This type of sapphire can not be produced in a lab and this particular stone was mined in Queensland, Australia by Coolamon Mines.
